These are usually emails or downloads that say that they are something useful or for the protection of your computer, but are either Viruses or Spyware instead.
These are very common at the moment. They can arrive as messages saying there are problems with your bank or PayPal account, or as offers of great software to remove problems. You can also receive pop-up on a web site that tell you your computer is infected and you need to download their programme to remove the infection or problem.
Always use the official link to access your bank account or Paypal account, and NEVER use a link contained within an email, even if it does look official.
You should certainly avoid any files, emails or downloads that give any mention of the following files or messages.
